ఆమధ్య హాసం పత్రిక మూత బడినందుకు ఎంతో భాద వేసినది ,ఈ దౌర్బాగ్యం మన దేశము/ పరదేశం లో ఉండటం మన దురదృష్టం నాటి బాదకు అక్షర రUపం రచ్చ్అ బండ లో తెలుగు నాడి గురించి బ్రహ్మానందం గారు రాసినది మీతో పంచుకోవాలని –

కొత్త నెలని గుర్తు చేస్తూ ఆ పత్రిక వచ్చింది. ఎప్పటిలాగే ఏముందా అని ఒక్కసారి పేజీలు తిప్పాను. సాధారణంగా పత్రిక రాగానే ఆసాంతం చదివేస్తాను. రాత్రి పడుక్కోబోయే ముందు చదవుతాను కదా అని ప్రతీ శీర్షికా ఓపిగ్గా చూడలేదు. రాత్రి చదువుదామని పుస్తకం తెరిచి సంపాదకీయం దగ్గరే ఆగిపోయాను. పేజీలు తిప్పానుకానీ, చదవబుద్ధి కాలేదు. అప్రయత్నంగా కళ్ళు చెమ్మ గిల్లాయి. మనసంతా
స్థబ్ధుగా అయిపోయింది. ఆ గదంతా విషాదం ఆవరించింది. గత అయిదేళ్ళుగా అప్రతిహతంగా అమెరికాలో వెలువడే ఒక పత్రిక ఇహ రాదన్న భావనే ఆ స్థితికి కారణం. అయిదేళ్ళ జన్మదిన సంచికే ఆఖరి సంచికగా మారిన ఆ పత్రిక తెలుగు నాడి. జంపాల చౌదరి గారి సంపాదకత్వంలో వస్తున్న ఆ పత్రిక వెనక ఎంతో మంది సాహితీకారులున్నారు. అందరూ కలిసి ఇన్నాళ్ళూ నడిపించారు.
కేవలం సంపాదకీయం చదివితేనే నా కిలా అనిపిస్తే, అది రాసిన వ్యక్తి పరిస్థితి ఊహించగలను. అది సంపాదకీయం కాదు. ఒక వీడ్కోలు. ఒక విషాదం. ఒక అయిష్ట నిష్క్రమణ. అయిదేళ్ళ శ్రమకి అర్థాంతరంగా ముగింపిస్తూ చేతులెత్తేసిన ఆవేదన. నీరు పోసి పెంచీ, పూలు పూస్తున్న మొక్కని స్వహస్తాలతో పెకలిస్తున్న బాధ. అది చదివి మనిషిగా బాధ పడ్డాను. తెలుగు వాడిగా సిగ్గుపడ్డాను. నన్ను చూసి అక్షరం
తలదించుకుంది.కర్ణుడి మరణానికి సవాలక్ష కారణాలుండచ్చు కానీ, ఒక పత్రిక అర్థాంతరంగా ఆగిపోడానికి కారణం మాత్రం ఖచ్చితంగా పెట్టుబడే! అందునా అచ్చు పుస్తకానికి ఊపిరి డబ్బే! అది లేకపోతే ఎంత మంచి సాహిత్యమున్నా వెలుగు చూసే అవకాశముండదు. సభల్లోనూ, వేదికలెక్కీ తెలుగు భాషని బ్రతికించుకోవాలీ, కాపాడుకోవాలీ అంటూ ఊక ఉపన్యాసాలిచ్చే తెలుగు వారు ఎక్కువే! ముఖ్యంగా అమెరికాలాంటి దేశంలో
తెలుగు వారి గురించి కొత్తగా చెప్పనవసరం లేదు. అథమపక్షం ఊరికి రెండో మూడో తెలుగు సంఘాలుంటాయి. సాహిత్యమూ, సంస్కృతీ అంటూ గొంతెత్తి అరుస్తాయి. ఇండియాలో పత్రికల్లో ఫొటోలు వేయించుకుంటాయి. ఆహా, ఓహో అంటూ రాయించుకుంటాయి. అంతవరకే! అమెరికాలో ఒక తెలుగు పత్రిక ఇక్కడి ఇంగ్లీషు పత్రికలకి ధీటుగా ప్రచురింప బడుతోందీ, ఏడాదికి కేవలం 24 డాలర్లు మాత్రమే – పుస్తకం మీ ఇంటికి మెయిల్
చెయ్యబడుతుందని చెప్పినా ఎవరూ ముందుకు రారు. ఎందుకంటే తెలుగు వారికి పుస్తకాలు చదివే అలవాటు తక్కువ. ఉన్న కొద్ది మందీ పక్కవాడు పుస్తకం కొంటే తీరుబడిగా తిరగేస్తారు తప్ప, ఓ డాలరు ఖర్చు పెట్టి కొనరు. ఇదీ తెలుగువారి దౌర్భాగ్యం.
అమెరికాలో సుమారు రెండు లక్షల పై చిలుకు తెలుగు వారున్నారు. ఒక్క సిలికాన్ వేలీ లోనే డెబ్భై వేల మందున్నారు. కనీసం ఇందులో నాలుగో వంతు జనాభా ఈ తెలుగునాడి పుస్తకం కొన్నా, ఈ పత్రిక మూత పడే అవకాశం ఎంతమాత్రమూ రాదు. ఇహ వ్యాపార ప్రకటనలు. కనీసం వందమంది వ్యాపారవేత్తలు తలో చేయీ వేసినా చాలు. కానీ ఎవరూ ముందుకురారు. ఇహ తెలుగు సంఘాలూ అంతే! వేలకు వేలు ఖర్చు పెట్టి సినిమా వాళ్ళని
తెచ్చుకునే దాంట్లో పదోవంతయినా ఇలాంటి పత్రిక నిలపడానికి వెచ్చిస్తే ఈ పరిస్థితి రాదు.
తెలుగు వాళ్ళకి ఆత్మాభిమానం తక్కువ. మనది అన్న భావన లేదు. మన సాహిత్యమన్నఅభిమానం అంతకన్నా లేదు. దేశం మారినా పాత అలవాట్లు పోవు. మనస్తత్వం మారదు. నిజానికి ఏడాదికి 24 డాలర్లు అమెరికాలో ఉండే తెలుగు వారికేమంత ఎక్కువ కాదు. ఇక్కడా ఎక్కువా తక్కువా అనేకంటే మన భాష మీదా, సాహిత్యం మీదా మక్కువ లేదు. ఉన్నా అది ఉచితంగా కావాలి. ఇదీ తెలుగువారి సాహిత్యాభిమానం.
అమెరికా నుండి వెలువడే రీడర్స్ డైజస్ట్ నమూనాలో ఆంధ్రదేశంలో వచ్చే వివిధ పత్రికల్లో వచ్చిన మంచి వ్యాసాలూ, కథలూ ఏర్చి కూర్చి వేయడమూ, తెలుగు డయాస్పోరా కథలూ, వ్యాసాలూ ప్రచురించడమూ ఈ తెలుగునాడి చేస్తోంది. అన్ని వర్గాల పాఠకుల్నీ అలరిస్తూ పాత కొత్త సాహిత్యాల్ని పరిచయం చేస్తోంది. ముఖ్యంగా తెలుగు సినిమా వ్యాసాలు చక్కగా ఉంటాయి. సినిమా సమీక్షలు బావుంటాయి. బాల
సాహిత్యమంటూ రెండు మూడు పేజీలుంటాయి. అన్నిటికన్నా ముఖ్యం పత్రికకి వాడే పేపరు అత్యంత నాణ్యమైనది.
ఇలా ఎంతో వైవిధ్యంగా ఒక తెలుగు పత్రిక ప్రచురింపబడ్డం చూసి ప్రతీ తెలుగువాడూ గర్వ పడాలి. కానీ అలా లేదు. కనీసం వెయ్యి మంది చందాదార్లు కూడా లేరంటూ వాపోయే పరిస్థితొచ్చింది. పత్రిక మూతబడుతోంది. ఒక పుస్తకం అచ్చువేయడంలో చాలా శ్రముంటుంది. అది కాకుండా అచ్చువేయడానికి డబ్బు చాలకపోతే వచ్చే మానసిక శ్రమ మరింత కుంగతీస్తుంది. ఒక పత్రిక నడపడానికి సాహిత్య తపనొక్కటే చాలదు. తడి
కూడా కావాలి. అది లేకే తెలుగునాడి శలవు తీసుకుంటోంది.
అమెరికాలో నివాసముంటున్న తెలుగువారందరికీ ఒక విన్నపం. ఎవరైనా ( అంటే కొంతమంది వ్యక్తులైనా, సంఘాలయినా ) ముందుకొచ్చి ఈ తెలుగు నాడికి ఊపిరి పోయండి. అందులో నా వంతు నేనూ పాలుపంచుకుంటాను.

150 సం క్రితం వరకు ప్రధాన వృత్తులు మానవుడి కనీస అవసరాల మీదే కదా , వ్యవసాయం వాటి ఉత్పత్తు ల మీద వ్యాపారం ఈ కనీస అవసరాలు తీరిన వాడికి వినోదం వీటి కోరకు అనేక యుద్దాలు వీటి అంతామూలం బ్రతకటం బ్రతికిన తరువాత చావటం ఇందులో చావటం ని ఎదుర్కోనటానికి అనేక విదాలుగా మనిషి ప్రయత్నించాడు ఈ క్రమంలో దేవుడిని సృస్టించాడు చావు కి భయపడే వారికి చావు తరువాత కూడా జీవితం వుండోచ్హని ఆశ పెరిగినది ఆ దీనిని సమాధాన పరుచుటకు ఒక తెగ బయలు దేరినది వీరు మనిషి కోరికలను చేతనయిన విధముగా పరిష్కరింటానికి ప్రయత్నించారు సఫలమైతే దైవం అన్నారు కాక పోతే విధి అన్నారు కారణం పాపము అన్నారు ఎవరైనా ఆటంకపరిస్తే వారిని రాక్షసులు అన్నారు . ఇలా సమాజంలో అవసరాలకు తమకు తోచిన ఎర్పాటు చేశారు ఎవరు ఏపని చేయాలో ఎది చేయకూడదో చెప్పటాకి ఒక వ్యవస్థతయారు చేసారు అయితే ఇందులో ప్రజల అసంతృప్తి బయట పడకుండా ,విప్లవాలు రాకుండా వర్ణవ్యవస్థను విద్యావస్థను అదుపులో వుంచుకోన్నారు ఇలా ఈ వ్యవహారాన్ని అనేక వందల (వేల)సంవత్నరాల పాటు సమాజానికి దిశానిర్దేశ్యం చేయటాకి ప్రయత్నించారు ఈ మద్యకాలం లో కొంత మంది దీనికి వ్యతిరేకంగా కొంత మంది అనుకూలంగా పోరాటాలు చేశారు గెలిచారు/ఓడిపోయారు గత వందసంవత్సరాల నుండి దీనిని వ్యతిరేకించేవారు పెరిగి పోయారు వర్ణవ్యవస్త కులాలు తెగిపోయాయి అనేక వేలసంవత్సరాలో సాధించిన విజ్ఞానాన్ని ఈ వందసంవత్సరాల లో అనేక రెట్లు అధికమించాము కాని బ్రతుకు ఇంకా దుర్భలంగానే వున్నది ఇది ఎప్పటికి బాగవునో …అసలు బాగవునో ..అసలు తెలియకుండావున్నది

ఈ సారి ఎన్నికలు వాడి గా వేడి గా కన్న అలా జరిగినట్లు చూపబడినాయి ,ఈ సారి మీడియా ప్రభావం విపరీతంగా పెరిగినది నాకు తెలిసినంత వరకు ప్రతి మీడియా (పత్రికలు,చానెళ్ళు) పోటీలు పడిమరీ పని చేశారు త్రిముఖ పోటీ జరగటం వలన వీరికి కావలసినంత విషయం దోరికిన్నీ దురదుస్టవశాత్తు ఎదీ కూడా
నిస్పక్షపాతంగా వ్యవహరించలేదు. ఎన్నికల సంఘం నియమావళి దెబ్బకు నాలాటి ఓటరుకు పోలింగ్ బూతుకు వెళ్ళి అక్కడ పట్టిక చూశేదాక అసలు ఎంత మంది అబ్యర్దులు వున్నారో తెలియకుండా పోయినది ఇక తెలుగు వార్తా చానెళ్ళ లో మాత్రము ఏది చూసినా ఒక 20 మంది పార్టీల ఎజంట్లు అయా పార్టీల తరుపున వకల్తా పుచ్హుకోని ఇంకా నాగేశ్వర్ వంటి తటస్తులు వీరి అరుపులు వారి విశ్లేషణలు మద్యలో యానిమేషన్ వ్యంగాస్త్రాలు , మద్య లో ఇంటి కే ఉచితంగా పత్రికలు ఇవి కాక ఓటు వేయండహో అంటూ వివిధ ప్రకటనలు అంతా ఎదో అయో మయంగా నడిచినది , ఎవరు ఏది చెపుతున్నారో ఏది నమ్మాలో నమ్మకూడ దో తెలియని పరిస్తితి . ఈ పోలీసు పహరా మూలం గా బస్తీ లలో తప్ప ఇంక ఎక్కడా తాయిలాల పంపిణీ జరగని పరిస్థితి దీని వలన అబ్యర్దులు లాభ పడ్డారు ప్రజలు ప్రస్తుతానికి నష్టపోయారు ఇహ పోలింగ్ రోజు నకూడా పెద్దగా హడావిడి కనిపించలేదు ఎక్కడో జరిగిన అరకోర విషయాలనే మీడియా విపరీతంగా కవర్ చేసినది ఉదాహరణకు నేను మోతీ నగర్ లో ఓటు వేస్తునప్పుడు అక్కడకు జయప్రకాష్ వచ్హి ఎదో ఇంటర్వు ఇవ్వబోయాడు అక్కడే వున్న కాంగ్రేసు వారు ఇక్కడ పోలింగ్ వద్ద కాకుండా బయట పెట్టు కోనవలసినది గా సూచించారు దీని పై కేవలం 3 నిమిషాలు వాగ్వివాదం జరిగినది తరువాత జయప్రకాష్ వెళ్ళిపోయాడు , ఓటు వేసి ఇంటికి వచ్హి టీవీ పెడితేఅన్ని తెలుగు వార్తా చానెళ్ళ లో “మోతీ నగర్ లో జే.పీ పై కాంగ్రేసు వర్గీయుల దాడి అని ఫ్లాష్ వస్తోంది !

మహా శివరాత్రి పర్వదిన శుభాకాంక్షలు

“సమాచార సాంకేతికతకు సంబంధించిన ప్రాజెక్టులు తమిళంలో చేస్తే… అది జనబాహుళ్యానికి సులభంగా అర్థమయ్యే రీతిలో ఉంటుందని… అందులో విషయాలు సుబోధకంగా నలుగురికి ఉపయోగపడతాయని ఇవి ఒకవిధమైన ప్రత్యేకతతో అలరారుతూ మార్కెట్‌ పరంగా మంచి గిరాకీ సాధిస్తాయట . అంతేకాక తమిళంలో సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ను రూపొందించే విద్యార్థులకు లక్ష రూపాయల నగదు బహుమతి కూడా రాష్ట్ర తమిళ భాషాభివృద్ధి శాఖ ఇస్తుందట.

నాకు తెలిసి 1997 నుండి కూడా తెలుగులో ఇలాంటివి జరుగు తున్నాయి ఒక యాహూ గుంపు లో కోంత మందిలో ఒక చిన్న సమూహంగా ఎర్పడి మాకు తోచినంత అబ్దివృద్ది చేసాము కోంత కాలానికి మన జ్యాడ్యాలు అయిన ఇగోలు రాజకీయాలు బయలు దేరి గ్రూపు అచేతనావస్తకు వెళ్ళిపోయింది తరువాత కోంతమంది కలసి మరి కోన్ని ఉపరణాలు తయారు చేసారు కానీ మనకు వున్నంత సాంకేతిక నిపుణుల లబ్యతకు మనం అద్బుతాలు చేయవచ్హు కానీ అదేమిటో గాని మన తెలుగు నెట్జ్ జనులు ఎందుకనో సమూహాలుగా కలసి పనిచేయటానికి ముందుకు రారు . అమ్మా పెట్టదు అడుక్కోతిన్నివ్వదు అన్న చందంగా మన లో చాలా మందికి ఒక స్థాయి దాటిన తరువాత ఈ జ్యాడ్యం పెరుగు తుంది.
మనమేమో ఎప్పుడూ నువ్వు గోప్పా అంటే నువ్వెంత అనుకోంటూ ఇలా వుండి పోతున్నాము. తెలుగులో టెక్నాలజీ కు చెందిన అనేక అంతర్జాల సమూహాలు ఇప్పుడు అచేతన ఆవస్తలో ఉండటానికి కారణాలు ఇలాంటివే .మన సంఘీభావం అంతా రాజకీయాలు, సినిమాలు పరిమైపోతుందెందుకనో ..:(
